2m now official german class |
|
Posté le : 29/04/2010 à 12:01 (Lu 6813 fois) | | | In March, the DSV (FFVoile of Germany) accepted the 2m class as official class (see http://dsv-modellsegeln.de/klassen/weitere-klassen/2m-rc-multihull.html). Mini40 is already an official class for several years. Anybody interested in creating a unified international rule?
Cheers,
Andreas

Posté le : 03/06/2010 à 19:30 (Lu 6704 fois) | | | I talked to the responsible person at the FFV to get the latest 2m rules as I did not find a class logo and the rules on this site do not conform to the ISAF rules anymore. She said that the 2m class is no official FFV class. I was very confused. Even after asking a lot of french 2m sailors, I could not find a valid connection to the FFV. Even if the FFV recognizes 2m as official class, there is a german rule required until there is an international class which I would strongly prefer. I tried to find french sailors to support me in clarifying the situation regarding the international rule, but I had no succes. I am open to unify the rule and to unify all 2m sailors. The current german 2m rule is a translation of the french rule with the necessary updates to confirm with the ISAF rules.

I've find the rules . You can find the class Logo and the 2M class rules at this adress :
http://rlvm-modelisme.com/IMG/doc/Classe_202M.doc
Effectively, there is a problem in the FFV site. 2M is mixed with the Mini40 and has disapear as a class.
I will signalize the problem.

Hi Sylvain,
I did not have time yet to do the comparison. If a boat has been measured based on the french rule, it will pass the german measurement and vice versa. The differences focus on phrasing, references to the ISAF rules and removal of redundant parts. Basically it would be easy to create an international rule which would be compatible to the ISAF requirements. However I need a contact in France to work with me.
Regards / Bis bald,
Andreas
